Mike is an experienced leader from the resources sector. Mike is now focused on helping empower community service organisations to achieve long term sustainability and growth, while maintaining their core vision and values. Mike is eager to provide additional financial, commercial and operational nous to Avivo. 

Prior to joining the Avivo Board, Mike was Chairperson of the Board of Ovis Community Services, the primary provider of Family and Domestic Violence services to women and children in the Peel Region South of Perth. Mike is a Certified Community Director (from Institute of Community Directors Australia(ICDA)) with additional leadership qualifications from ICDA and Insead (France).

Mike (a Chemical Engineer by trade) joined Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) in 2004 and held managerial positions progressing to that of Vice-President (VP), Operations and Development in 2018, a position he held until 2021. During the time period from 2004 to 2021, MEPAU achieved very significant success and growth, transitioning from 8 employees to over 200. Mike has now stepped back from his VP role, but continues to mentor (part-time) some of the next generation of leaders in the MEPAU organisation.
