It’s a big year for Avivo as we embark on our next chapter. This chapter brings with it some significant changes, which we want to share with our community.
One of these changes is the transition of Avivo’s CEO. Rosie Lawn has worked with Avivo for over 17 years and has been in the role of CEO for the last 8 years. Rosie has had a significant impact on Avivo’s development and believes the time is right to step out of the CEO role in October 2022.
In April 2022, the Board announced that Avivo’s next CEO will be Kate Fulton, Avivo’s current Chief People Officer.
Kate has been with Avivo for 10 years. She is a passionate leader, committed to developing a world where everyone is included and valued. She is passionate about social justice and finding practical ways to make real what matters to people. Kate’s bedrocks are our customers and our colleagues. She started her career as a Support Worker before studying Social Work and holding many different advocacy, and consulting roles in the UK. She has contributed enormously to Avivo’s leadership and evolution over the past decade.
The overall CEO and Executive team transition is underway. To establish a solid path towards Avivo’s next chapter we have chosen an extended CEO transition period. Kate will spend the coming months as the designated successor, working alongside Rosie until the official appointment on 25 October 2022.
An integral part of this is the recruitment of the two Chief Purpose Officers to take up the community services strategic and operational leadership as Kate steps into the role of CEO. This recruitment will see the Executive team expand to a team of four, commensurate with the size and complexity of an organisation like Avivo.
At Avivo, we’re always looking to be innovative in the way we work, and we’re looking forward to our future.
