Customer Maddy publishes her first book

Maddy was awarded a Small Sparks Grant to publish her first book.

Maddy was awarded a Small Sparks Grant to publish her first book. Her support worker knew that she was a gifted writer and encouraged her to utilise this talent and skill. Under the mentorship of an author, Maddy wrote and published the book, The Mumblings of Mad Maddy Mac.

Working on the book was therapeutic for her. “It enabled me to put aside the ensuing PTSD resulting from each otherwise paralysing life event and deal with the challenges of day-to-day living. All the works in this book have been written by me, myselves and I. I wish to thank Avivo for making this book a reality through providing the Small Sparks Grant and the support received from Katrina, Jo and Caz.”
