Reconciliation Action Plan

Avivo’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) offers people a path to greater understanding and awareness of the heritage and history of this land’s first people, and to develop respectful and culturally secure practices.

Within Avivo, the RAP Working Group – made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers, family members and employees, and some non-Aboriginal staff – champions the implementation of the RAP.

The group has worked with employees, customers and carers to build strong partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities. These partnerships are fundamental to achieving Avivo’s goals for reconciliation and our outcomes for the delivery of appropriate services, supporting all people to live life.

Its members continue to strengthen existing partnerships and form new ones.

Looking ahead, a key focus area for the next RAP implementation will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment opportunities and support.
